Common Problems That May Occur:
— Breakage Around Edges

Goals
Destress the hair, condition and treatment

Overview This type of breakage is mainly caused by "traction". Traction breakage occurs when the hair strands are pulled or rubbed against one another. This type of tension can occur when you wear tight ponytails, hair pieces, weaves, braids, rubber bands, etc. When we continuously pull the hair, we rip it out of the hair follicle, which inflames and eventually, scars the scalp. Once this happens, that follicle may not grow hair again. Discontinue the poor haircare practices and begin a treatment/ nourishment program.
