Dry hair has open cuticles which allow moisture to escape into the air. Additionally, they allow light rays to enter the shaft through the cuticles. When light rays are not reflected, the eye sees what we call "dull hair". Open cuticles are caused by an alkaline condition. Alkalinity can be lowered quickly and when the proper regimen is followed, kept down.
